Modeling Refingere
Lay out ideas as a map. Your way.
A node-based modeling tool where anything - a task, a note, a person, a piece of a plan - becomes a small box, connected to others with arrows. The tool is built out of the same boxes as Your work, so every way of looking at a map, as a diagram, a board, a document or a table, can be changed, swapped and shared just like Your own content. It is the workshop of Refingere, where the other projects are shaped and tried out. Runs in Your browser, nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.

Key features

Plugins all the way
The tool is its own host
Plugins are stored as nodes, right next to Your content. Every view, from the markdown editor to the kanban board, is a plugin compiled at runtime. Don't like how something works? Open it, change it in place, and see the result immediately. Nothing is hardcoded in stone.

Node Editor
Think in connections
Build networks of small typed nodes, connect them with directed links, attach names and free-form data, and group them into subnets. If You've used a node-based tool before, You already know how to use this one, just now it's tuned for thinking, not just wiring things together.

Ready-made models
Start from a library, not a blank page
An open registry of models and add-ons to install in one click: kanban and agile boards, sheets, Mermaid and Excalidraw diagrams, LaTeX, and syntax support for over a dozen programming languages. Even the Refingere Language is being designed inside Modeling.

Collaborate
Realtime updates with multiple sessions
Work on the same model with teammates at the same time. Every change syncs instantly over Your own Firebase project, or over a self-hosted sync server, so nobody is stuck waiting for a refresh or overwriting someone else's edits.

Save where You want
Google Drive, Your server or plain files
Keep Your models in Your own Google Drive, on a self-hosted server, or map a part of a model straight onto a folder on Your disk, where every node becomes a real file. A .ts node is plain TypeScript, a .md node is plain Markdown, editable in any tool You like and synced in both directions.

Built for self-hosting
Your own servers, when You want them
Two small Bun servers, no framework, just Bun.serve and WebSockets. The sync server keeps named saves in SQLite or plain files, and runs live collaboration with an operation log, compacted snapshots and presence. The files server watches folders on Your disk and keeps them in sync with the model in both directions.

Privacy = Everything local
You decide where Your models live
No mandatory cloud, no telemetry phoning home. Everything runs and stores locally by default. Sync is something You opt into, not something forced on You. And the app, the model library and both servers are open source.
